Chari Hawkins - The Road to Tokyo
Chari Hawkins is the type of athlete that embraces doubt. Growing up in Idaho in a big, athletic family, Chari played basketball, volleyball, even danced. On a whim, she reluctantly joined her high school track and field team to hang out with her friends.
It was that decision that eventually led her to become one of the country's top heptathletes.
Her road to reach the world's most celebrated sporting event-- the Olympic games -- has been paved with both physical and emotional challenges. In "The Road to Tokyo", Chari candidly details her journey toward becoming an elite heptathlete, what her typical day looks like, and the obstacles she has overcome along the way.
